Covid-19 information

One of the core values of Jennifer’s practice is to ensure her clients feel comfortable and safe, the following are necessary precautions and protocols in place from Alberta Health Services and Massage Therapy Associations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  1. Jennifer will be performing a self-assessment and take her temperature prior to work if she is experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19 she will contact you to cancel your appointment until she has been tested and or has completed her isolation.

  2. Before attending your appointment, please complete the COVID-19 Self Assessment Test that will be sent via email with your appointment reminder. If you do not complete it Jennifer will reach out to you before your appointment to complete pre-screening. If the assessment recommends that you self-isolate, or get tested, you must cancel your appointment, you will not be charged for the cancellation.

  3. If you find you are feeling unwell, or if you have a sickness of any kind, you must cancel your appointment.  No services will be performed on those who are sick, feeling unwell, or show any symptoms related to COVID-19. Your appointment will be rescheduled at a minimum of 14 days later.

  4. Clients should arrive no more than 5 minutes before the expected appointment time.  If you arrive before your scheduled appointment please have a mask on, remove your shoes, use the hand sanitizer at the entrance and take a seat in the waiting room and Jennifer will be right with you.

  5.  Clients are asked to refrain from having people accompany them to the appointment. No friends, partners, or children. If you need to be picked up or dropped off the driver must remain in the vehicle to decrease people congregating. Please refrain from bringing any non-essential belongings with you.

  6. The town of Canmore  has implemented a new bylaw that states "All persons must wear a mask or face covering that fully covers the nose, mouth, and chin." Clients will need to keep the mask on at all times while in the facility. The mask can be a disposable, or cotton mask. If you need a disposable mask one can be provided for you, there will be a fee of $1.

  7. When on the treatment table, while you are face-up, or side-lying you may request to wear eye protection. If you feel you need to adjust your mask during treatment there will be hand sanitizer available in the treatment room for you to use before you touch your mask and or face.

  8. To ensure proper cleaning and sanitation there will be a minimum of 30 minutes between appointments. The treatment room and bathroom will be cleaned and disinfected between each use. All high touch surfaces and equipment will be disinfected often and after every use.

  9. Payments by e-transfer, debit and credit card are preferred.

  10. All receipts will be emailed to reduce the exchange contact.

  11. A registry of people entering the facility will be kept for contact tracing

  12. Please only arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment.
